Philosophy

Sportinmind was formed to provide a unifying identity for Andy Flack’s work in sport performance, business coaching and psychotherapy. The ethos is the same for each discipline: a holistic view of the individual or team and the formulation of a programme suited to the individual or team.
At Sportinmind, we believe that each client is unique with their own performance history. We do not limit ourselves or our client’s potential by adhering to one particular psychological school, but practice an integrative and eclectic approach to psychological and performance development. Following an assessment, a specific programme is developed with reference to the client’s desired goals and outcomes.
Our approach is brief, solution-focussed psychology (although brief does not necessarily mean quick). We aim to help clients access and utilise their own resources to achieve their goals and ultimately achieve their full potential.
At Sportinmind we aim to enable clients to undergo change at a deeper level, often around notions of identity. We have worked with families, companies, performers, business leaders and individuals and found a common theme: that change on an identity level is empowering and lasting.
